Blossom Phase 1

(Blossom Phase 1) – The menstrual phase is basically your period or the week that you are bleeding. This phase starts day one of your period and is the first day of your whole menstrual cycle which includes 4 phases. Which are the menstrual phase, the follicular phase, the ovulation phase, and the luteal phase. This menstrual blood or menses is the shedding from the lining of your uterus known as the endometrium. A period lasting between three and seven days is considered normal, and the amount of menstrual flow should be about a about a quarter of a cup. In Chinese medicine the large amount of variation in the menstrual phase give us huge clues as to what is going on in the body, and we pay attention to every detail of menstrual blood, such as color, amount, consistency, and length of bleeding.The typical protocol during this phase is to invigorate the qi, and blood, regulate water passages, and calm the mind by moving the liver qi. As always when dealing with any issues you want to address it from several aspects of your life. Chinese herbs can be very helpful in managing this situation When looking for a modern day formula to help invigorate Qi and Blood regulate water passages, and move the liver qi. Look for one containing at least one or more of the following herbs:

Dang Gui which helps to tonify and move blood simultaneously

3-4 capsules 3 times a day for an average adult (18-60 years of age, approximately 150 lbs). This standard dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the patient’s individual factors, such as age, body weight, type of illness and severity.Serve with warm water on an empty stomach, 2-3 hours apart from your prescription medication or other supplements. Do not take with tea, coffee, juice, soda or any other beverages.
