Ingredients
- Bai Wei (Radix et Rhizoma Cynanchi Atrati)
- Ce Bai Ye (Cacumen Platycladi)
- He Zi (Fructus Chebulae)
- Ma Chi Xian (Herba Portulacae)
- Tian Hua Fen (Radix Trichosanthis)
- Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis)
Recommended Dosing
- 3-4 capsules 3 times a day for an average adult (18-60 years of age, approximately 150 lbs). This standard dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the patient’s individual factors, such as age, body weight, type of illness and severity. - Serve with warm water on an empty stomach, 2-3 hours apart from your prescription medication or other supplements. Do not take with tea, coffee, juice, soda or any other beverages.
Muscle cramps in Chinese Medicine
In Chinese medicine we look at muscle spasms and cramps as a pattern of Liver yin and Liver blood deficiencies, with accompanying qi and blood stagnation. Effective treatment, therefore, must focus on nourishing Liver yin and Liver blood deficiencies, activating qi and blood circulation, and removing stagnation.
Chinese Herbs for Muscle Cramps
Dang Gui – Which is used to warm and invigorate qi and blood circulation especially in the peripheral channels and collateral’s.
Bai Shao – This herb Nourishes the blood and the liver yin, to helps to reduce pain and sooth spasms
Bai Zhu – Helps to tonify the spleen qi and nourish the vessels strengthening the muscles.
